COMPLAINT handling at Worcestershire’s three major hospitals is being reviewed

The way Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust learns from complaints, as well as general feedback, to improve its services was flagged as in need of improvement in a report presented to the organisation’s board on Wednesday, June 24.

The report showed feedback was spread across a range of surveys and reports, making trends difficult to identify and there was no standard way of letting staff know about changes to processes as a result.

The trust, which runs Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital, has committed to bringing feedback together to help identify themes and assist staff in understanding what has been learned. The organisation will also be developing a new method of recording improvements achieved as a result of complaints.
