A POPULAR house music night will move from its home in Sherriff Street to embark on new events.

Pro-ject Warehouse has been a constant feature in Worcester's nightlife for the past 15 months.

Now Pro-ject director, James Newman, says the time has come to leave the warehouse behind.

"We are leaving the warehouse venue because we are focusing our time this summer on events in Ibiza and at the Ministry of Sound in London," he said.

"Our main focus over the next few weeks will be on our next event in Worcester on August 15, which is the Secret Summer Car Park Carnival, and this will be our biggest event to date."

Pro-ject Warehouse has featured a number of big names in the house music scene, including DJ and radio presenter, Kissy Sell Out.

James said: "It has been an unbelievable first 15 months for Pro-ject and I personally want to thank everyone involved and all of the loyal Pro-ject ravers. We started Pro-ject to bring a house music scene to Worcester.

"Bringing some of the world's leading DJs to our city and organising these events with festival style production has been a passion of mine and to see a crowd of 500 faces enjoying each event we do makes it even more enjoyable.

"We have some massive plans for Pro-ject in the future — if people support and enjoy what we do then we will keep organising these big parties.

"We just want to say a huge thank you to the loyal Pro-ject ravers for your ongoing support. You guys are what makes us what we are. We've brought some huge acts to our city, hosted some outrageous parties over the last year and a half and shared some unbelievable moments with you all.

"This is not the end of Pro-ject — we are focusing our time this summer on some huge events."

The upcoming Car Park Carnival, in a secret location due to be revealed to ticket-holders three days before the event.

The last event in the warehouse takes place this Saturday and will feature DJ S.K.T, Development, Jay Newman, Marc C, Jake Whitehouse and Sebastian.
