DELAYS on the M5 this morning were caused by a crash between a car and a van, it has been confirmed.
The crash happened around 7.15am (Tuesday, June 30) between junctions 2 and 1, but there were no major injuries. Two people were taken to hospital, however, while a third was discharged at the scene.
Two ambulances attended the scene on the M5 northbound carriageway.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "There were major delays in the area this morning. There were no serious injuries.
"Two people were taken to Sandwell Hospital, a third was discharged at the scene."
