STUDENTS at a Worcester college have been handed a generous donation by a solicitors firm.

New College Worcester, which runs a number of weekends away for Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and other trips, has been donated ten sleeping bags by the Harrison Clark Rickerbys Charitable Trust.

College fundraiser Anne Priestly said the bags would help the students, all of whom are blind or partially sighted, gain skills such as independence and team work.

“We are very grateful for the support the trustees of Harrison Clark Rickerby’s Charitable Trust have given us,” she said. “The new sleeping bags are very welcome as we take students on weekend trips on a regular basis and they will be used a lot.”
