THREE pairs of tickets to a nostalgia motoring event in Worcestershire are up for grabs.

The prize, which is being offered by sponsors Stewart Miller and Peter James Insurance, will give free entry to the annual Classic Nostalgia event on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19.

British car marques - Triumph and Jaguar – will be honoured at the event, which is being hosted by the Midlands Automobile Club’s Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb.

The action-packed weekend, supported by Classic and Sports Car Magazine as well as Stewart Miller and Peter James Insurance, attracts a very wide variety of pre 1980s competition cars challenging on the historic hill climb course.

It will also feature spectacular static vehicle displays, trade stands and vintage-inspired entertainment from musicians, live bands to show dancers.

The scenic Teme Valley venue will host most than 15 clubs on the Saturday with about 500 pre-1984 vehicles on display while numerous Jaguar anniversaries – such as the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar Mk1, 50 years since the Last Le Mans win for Jaguar Cars Ltd and the 40th anniversary of the Jaguar XJS – will be honoured.

Jaguar’s chief test driver and development engineer from 1952 to 1985 Norman Dewis will be special guest of honour on Sunday, July 19, and take part in a question and answer session in The Courtyard.

The weekend will also include a thrilling Muscle Biplane air display with pilot Richard Goodwin putting his 1960s Pitts S2S G-EWIZ biplane through its paces on both days – weather permitting - while the Courtyard stage plays host to non-stop music throughout the weekend celebrating 1940s and 1950s to modern classics.

To enter the competition by a deadline of Sunday, July 12, email your name, email address and phone number to competitions@stewartmillerinsurance.co.uk, putting Classic Nostalgia in the subject line.
