FREINDS and family of singer Christell O'Shea will gather at a Warndon pub to mark three years since she passed away.

Miss O’Shea, of Birdlip Close, Warndon, died on July 29, 2012, aged 39, after a long battle with cancer.

About 1,000 people attended the talented singer's funeral at Warndon’s St Wulstan’s Church which brought traffic to a standstill.

On Saturday, her cousin Lee Price will be singing at the Glover's Needle, Windermere Drive, Warndon to mark three years since her passing.

Miss O'Shea left her music equipment to Mr Price, from The Lyppards, and asked him to keep on singing.

He said: "All who knew her are more than welcome to come as her mum and dad will also be there.

"The gig at the Glovers is just a night to get people together and remember Christell."

Mr Price, aged 23, was recently reunited with a sentimental necklace which was given to him by Miss O'Shea prior to her death thanks to the Worcester News Facebook page.

Hayley Stanley-Belmonte posted a picture of the silver cross which was inscribed with the words Love You to the Worcester News after her son found it on the floor of a Worcester nightclub.

The post was shared almost 100 times and was eventually seen by Mr Price who was pleased to be reunited with the invaluable piece of jewellery.

He wrote: "Its mine! Thanks a million guys. A family member Christell O'shea gave it to me two days before she died.

"Nice to know there are decent people around still! I couldn't be more than thankful to [Hayley] and her son."

The evening begins at 8pm.
