OLDER people in Worcestershire are being urged to review their energy tariff to ensure they are getting the best deal in preparation for the winter.
Age UK has put out the call following a recent report by the Competition and Marks Authority which found millions of energy customers across the UK could be paying much less if they switched to a fixed rate deal.
Vanessa Mann from Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: “We encourage those in later life to consider switching to a fixed tariff so their energy bills are locked in for a longer term.
“Switching and fixing now will mean your new tariff is up and running before autumn, when inevitably colder weather will set in.”
For advice on switching power supplier or tariff, visit the Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire headquarters in Bromwich Road, Worcester, or call 0800 328 7314.
