FROM today, Monday, August 3, all teenagers born between September 1, 1996 and August 31, 1997 in England are being offered a vaccine against meningitis and septicaemia.
Health experts have said it is advisable to have the vaccination before going to university, as mixing closely with lots of new people can increase the risk of infection.
The vaccination has been introduced following an increase in cases of the potentially fatal infections.
