A TALENTED teenager from Worcestershire came second in a prestigious singing competition.
Tazmin Barnes, 13, of Ripple, near Upton, beat off competition from thousands of entrants to be named runner-up in the pre-teen category of the TeenStar UK contest on Saturday, July 25.
She wowed the judges at the grand final, which was held in front of a capacity crowd at the NEC in Birmingham, with her rendition of Brokenhearted by Karmin.
But she only just missed out on the top spot in the nationwide competition, which has uncovered chart-topping artists such as Birdy and Jahmene Douglas.
Tazmin is a pupil at RGS Worcester, where she has been offered a drama scholarship and also won the lower school drama cup.
She has been singing and performing all of her life and is a member of the band Delinquent Aces.
