THE results of a post mortem carried out on a man whose body was found in a popular park has proven inconclusive.
The post mortem has not found what caused his death after a passer-by discovered a man "not breathing" in Fort Royal Park on Friday night.
Toxicology reports will be returned in the next few weeks though police are saying that while his death is still classed as unexplained, it is not believed to be suspicious.
Officers are continuing to investigate the death and have asked anyone with information to contact them by calling 101.
The body was found lying in the picturesque park by a passer-by near to the Royal Albert Close entrance who immediately called emergency services.
A spokesman for the ambulance services said a call was received at 8.41pm after the man was discovered not breathing.
A community first responder, a rapid response officer and an ambulance paramedic were called to the scene along with West Mercia Police.
Part of the park was cordoned off while paramedics battled to revive the man.
Sadly, despite their best efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and a date for the inquest into the man's death is yet to be announced.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 718s/310715.
