A beautiful classic car may have come to a sad end after crashing into a building.

The car left the Pershore Road, near to the turning to Upton-upon-Severn, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, August 11.

The car, which appears to be a red and grey Morris Oxford with an original numberplate, was left with substantial damage to its front and wing.

Fortunately, the driver only sustained minor injuries. No other cars were involved although there was damage to a nearby premises.

A spokesman from West Mercia police said officers were called to the crash on Tuesday.

The car has been left at the crash site so a structural engineer can assess the damage to the building.
