WITNESSES to an incident in which a young girl was approached by two strangers in Dines Green, Worcester, are being asked to contact police.
Details of the incident, which is alleged to have taken place yesterday, Tuesday August 11, were posted on the Facebook page of housing provider Fortis Living earlier today.
According to the post, members of the company’s grounds maintenance team were working at the junction of Raleigh Close and Drake Avenue in Dines Green when they saw a young girl running to catch up with her dog, which had escaped from its lead.
One of the employees saw a silver BMW pull over and someone in the car start to talk to the girl through an open window. The worker felt uncomfortable with the situation so pretended he had a problem with his strimmer while keeping an eye on the girl.
He then saw a woman get out of the back of the car and approach the girl, before spotting the worker and getting back in the vehicle, which drove off.
The driver of the car was described as Asian while the woman was said to be African.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via crimestopper-uk.org.
