PEOPLE who are worried about crime are being given the chance to talk to local police officers.

On Tuesday, May 1, representatives from West Mercia Constabulary will attend a special meeting in Dines Green, Worcester.

The meeting will be a chance for residents to ask questions specifically relating to the area.

Richard Bull, West Mercia's public relations manager, will give a short talk and the police themselves will be raising their issues.

As many people as possible are being urged to attend the meeting, which is being arranged by the Worcester Police Community Consultative Group (WPCCG) and takes place at The Green Centre, Gresham Road, Dines Green, at 7.15pm.

Local shop owners and traders are also invited.

The WPCCG holds three meetings a year. The next, on Tuesday, July 3, will be at the Horizon Centre, Midland Road, off Wyld's Lane, and will relate specifically to that area.

For more information about the meeting, e-mail Roger Whitworth at roger@rww96.
