FOOTBALL NEAR THE FRONT - An interesting match took place between the Worcester RFA and the Warwicks, which resulted in an easy victory for the Worcesters by 5 to 2. The Worcester team proved to be a fine set of men and deserved their victory.
MR JOHN KENT'S APPEAL FOR RECRUITS - Seizing the opportunity to commandeer a dray standing at Worcester Cross on Saturday afternoon, Mr John Kent made a recruiting appeal. He said that if we failed to beat the Germans, every living man, woman and child in this country would be better off dead.
