THIS weekend will see the fifth Great Witley Art Exhibition held in the popular baroque church on August 29, 30 and 31.

The weekend begins with a preview evening on Friday August 28 and then on the Saturday the free exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm each day.

The artists are almost all professional and produce work of a very high quality. There will be a range of paintings from abstract to representational in all media. There are paintings to suit everyone. We have designer jewellery by Pascale Bigot and beautiful glassware by Caroline Clist. Two wood turners will exhibit produce and other works of art in a variety of woods and there will be a local embroiderer makes quilts, wall hangings and small goods. Handmade cards or prints of art works are also for sale.

Outside the church will be two small marquees with various craft activities on offer from exhibiting artists as well as a chocolate tombola, book sale and sale of designer handbags made from recycled materials.

On Sunday there will be a different range of activities on offer including a plants and produce stall. On Monday there will be a cup cakes and cookies stall, book stall, designer handbags and more exciting activities.

The weekend promises to be exciting and well worth a visit.
