MALVERN Hills Badminton Club’s Barbara Gibson returned from Helsingborg, Sweden, with two World Senior Championships medals.
The Upton competitor represented England with 48 countries and 1,300 players taking part over one week.
Gibson won a silver medal in the women’s singles and a bronze in the doubles.
Her opponents came from Japan, Russia, Germany, Sweden and Denmark, which made a change from regular games at her Dyson Perrins Academy-based club.
Gibson said: “I am always trying to encourage Malvern ladies to have a go at my sport and we have a friendly group who meet on a Saturday morning, from 9am until 11am, for coaching and games.
“I would love to see more there and introduce them to a great fitness sport. Rackets are provided.”
