TRIBUTES have been paid to a former chairman of Malvern Hills District Council who died suddenly last week.
Cllr Gill Farmer, who represented the Teme Valley ward for more than 20 years, passed away on Thursday, October 1.
She served as the council's chairman in 2004, had a keen interest in planning, and away from the council chamber enjoyed painting.
She was married to former district councillor Reg Farmer.
Cllr Phil Grove, leader of Malvern Hills District Council, said: “Gill was a close friend, dedicated and conscientious in all her she did to represent all residents within her ward. She will be sadly missed by all her friends, work colleagues and those she served.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with her family at this sad time.”
