A LORRY shed a load of milk on the M42 after it crashed into the central reservation in the early hours of this morning.

The HGV hit the central reservation of the southbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 2 A441 (Alvechurch/Redditch) and junction 1 A38/B4096.

The motorway was originally blocked in both directions following the crash at about 2.20am while firefighters from Redditch and Bromsgrove cleared up the spillage and the recovered the lorry.

Highways England said that recovery teams had worked hard to get the lorry cleared.
