MORE than £4,000 was raised for St Richard's Hospice at a charity golf day in Hadzor.
Droitwich business AKW, which supplies mobility equipment such as walk-in showers, hosted the event which raised a grand total of £4178.15.
On the day, 39 guests came along to the Gaudet Luce Golf Club to enjoy a day's golfing, followed by an evening dinner, raffle and auction.
Jayne Sargeant, community fundraiser at Worcester-based St Richard's Hospice, said: "We have been developing our links with AKW over the past few years with a range of different fundraising activities and we are immensely grateful for the amount raised during this corporate golf day."
Paul Massey, AKW’s group chief executive officer, added: "At AKW we have a strong empathy to those in need and this naturally becomes a fundamental part of our corporate and social responsibilities in supporting local charities.
"This year’s corporate golf day has been extremely successful and we are very pleased to support St Richard’s Hospice."
St Richard's Hospice gives free care and support to around 2,600 patients and their families every year.
