Visitors using public transport to get to the Spring Gardening Show this weekend can enjoy a free bus shuttle service.

Those attending between Friday and Sunday can use the service that runs between Great Malvern Railway Station and the event at the Three Counties Showground.

It will operate from 9am, with the last journey returning from the showground at 6pm.

Journeys are expected to last 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

Simon Whitehead, County Council Passenger Transport Senior Communications Officer, said: "The organisers of the National Gardening & Countryside Show have shown great foresight in putting on the shuttle service.

"Big shows can often mean big queues, but the shuttle service should help keep such traffic congestion to a minimum. We hope that this might also encourage visitors to use public transport on a more regular basis."

Other buses serving the Showground but which will charge a fare include Service 364 (Worcester - Upton-upon-Severn - Great Malvern) which passes the Three Counties Showground on Mondays to Saturdays and the Service 244 (The "Malvern Hills Hopper") on Saturdays and Sundays.
