A FIREWORKS display will be held at a Droitwich school to celebrate bonfire night.

The event will take place at St Peter's CEVA First School in St Peter's Church Lane, The Holloway, on Friday, November 6, at 6.30pm.

It has been organised by the Friends of St Peters CEVA First School group.

Gates open at 5pm and and the display will start 6.30pm.

Tickets in advance cost £4 for adults and £1 for children while adult tickets on the door cost £5.

Entry for pre-school children is free.

Refreshments including hotdogs, candy floss, tea, coffee and hot chocolates will also be on offer.

A message on the friends group's Facebook page says: "We look forward to seeing you there and please share this post and tell your family and friends to come along too."

Visitors are not permitted to bring their own sparklers or fireworks to the event for health and safety reasons.

Organisers have also reiterated that the event is weather dependent and, in the case of poor conditions, may have to be cancelled on the advice of the specialist fireworks display company.
