PUPILS at two Worcester schools have collaborated on a painting project to improve a school and the local environment.

Pupils from year 5 at Perdiswell Primary School and year 10 at Tudor Grange Academy Worcester worked together on the art project which was officially opened on Tuesday.

They created designs under the guidance of Dave Brown from Graffiti Artist.com, who also led workshops on graffiti art in which pupils created their own canvasses and painted their designs.

The designs were inspired by the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and now appear on a wall and a number of containers around the school grounds.

The project took place over the course of one week in July and was co-ordinated by Fran Cartmell from Tudor Grange Academy and Peter Jones, head of Key Stage 2 at Perdiswell Primary School.

The project was sponsored by the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust and the National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Society.
