STUDENTS at the Chase School have been very active in recent weeks, raising over £1,000 for two important charities.

All students in the school wore an item of pink clothing on Wear it Pink Day on Friday, October 23, in exchange for a donation to the annual fundraising effort for Breast Cancer Now. The sixth-form charity committee also held a cake sale to boost funds.

And on Friday, November 13, sixth-form students wore permitted to wear pyjamas to school in support of Children in Need.

Molly May Parsons, chair of the charity committee, mobilised her colleagues to achieve the tremendous figure of £860 on Pink Day and £380 for Children in Need, making a total of £1240 combined.

Teacher Emily Smith, the school's charity coordinator said: “I am really proud of our students’ achievement in raising funds for two such important charities. Commitment and concern for others is something that our students show in great measure. It is lovely to work with such caring students.”
