A BUNCH of brave young farmers from Cutnall Green have bared all for a charity calendar in a bid to raise more than just eyebrows.

The 20 fundraisers from the village's Young Farmers' Club (YFC) daringly posed behind tractors, combine harvesters and farm equipment to generate funds for breast cancer and prostate cancer charities.

The calendar took many weeks to complete with models taking time out of their busy schedules during harvest to pose in front of the camera.

Tom Baldi-Turner, chairman of Cutnall Green Young Farmers, said: "We wanted to do something a little bit different. Cancer hits us all in some way."

Not one to shy away from the camera, Mr Baldi-Turner, 24, also features in the calendar - you'll spot him posing behind a chain saw.

He said: "When I was with my friend Richard on our joint photo we were on a big combine [harvester]. Richard was stood above me so I didn't look up and he shouted: 'Oh god, there's a load of cyclists'. I shouted hello to them which was great.

"It was really good fun and I think it really brought the whole group together."

However he admits when he first joined the YFC he would never have imagined doing something like this.

"I remember when I started six years ago I couldn't speak in front of anybody, but this year I stood in front of 300 people at the Three Counties Show," he said.

"So to get my kit off for a naked calendar, I had a great time!"

The calendar has been sponsored by 12 local businesses including Elliot's fine foods, Little Owl Farm Park, Rowberry's Nursery and Purshall Hall Turkeys.

It is not the first time the YFC branch has stripped off for a naked calendar with the first being shot six years ago.

Hollie Smith, Victoria Giles and Alison Baylis helped to organise the project this year, and the YFC hopes to raise around £5,000.

Photographed by Young Farmers' member Charlotte Pheysey, the calendar is now on sale from Cutnall Green Village Shop and Rowberrys Garden Shop in Chaddesley Corbett.
