PUPILS from five Worcestershire schools were entertained by author Jonathan Stroud when he visited two schools in the county last week.
Jonathan Stroud, author of Lockwood & Co. and the Bartimaeus Sequence spent time at Pershore High School where he also met pupils from Abbey Park Middle School and Parkside Middle School, Bromsgrove.
He talked to more than 500 pupils, inspiring them with details of his latest Lockwood & Co book, what he enjoys about writing and his love of the thriller genre.
He also brought along his ghost hunting kit which a volunteer pupil modelled for the audience.
Councillor Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member for localism and communities said: "All of the author visits we have are so inspiring for the students.
"And meeting a popular author face to face is so exciting.
"The Schools' Library Service did really well to get Jonathan Stroud back again.
"He was really well received last time round, so they knew the visit would be a great success."
