TWO men who died in a horror crash near Evesham involving two cars and a lorry have been named by coroners.

Bulgarians Hristiyan Georgiev, 20, of Sava Rakovskyi Street, Haskovo, and Svetoslav Karamfilov, 19, of Stefan Stambolov Street, Haskovo, were killed during the incident.

The pair, who lived in Evesham at the time, were thrown form their car during the smash and pronounced dead at the scene in Offenham.

Preliminary papers filed by Worcestershire Coroners Court list “multiple injuries” from a "road traffic collision" as the medical cause of death.

A formal inquest to be held in Stourport will confirm this assessment.

The crash took place on Wednesday, November 18, at 2.21pm on the B4510 by the A46 flyover near Offenham.

Two air ambulance helicopters, an ambulance and two paramedics attended the incident.

The two Bulgarian men – front seat passenger Mr Georgiev and rear seat passenger Mr Karamfilov – could not be saved.

A third man, aged 19, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a serious head injury and suspected leg fracture.

He remains in hospital in a "critical condition", according to police.

The lorry driver, a man, was treated for shock and discharged at the scene.

A second car incurred minor damage during the collision and the driver, a woman, was treated for an injury to her nose.

The crash caused the road to be closed for about 6 hours.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting reference number 397S181115.
