A WORCESTER woman is preparing to have her long locks chopped off to support a charity helping youngsters who have lost theirs through illness.
On Saturday, December 5, Rosemary Henderson will have at least seven inches cut off her hair at the Hare & Hyde salon, by hairdresser Fiona Harrison.
The 33-year-old is taking part in the challenge to raise money for the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to youngsters across the UK who have lost their own hair as a result of cancer treatment.
Rosemary said: "I want to raise awareness of the charity, and inspire others to donate their hair.
"Every time they have to outsource and purchase a wig it costs them £350 to do so.
"I am also raising money for the charity as I have a friend who has cancer - so it is something close to my heart."
The hair cut is being held at the salon, in the Old Joseph Wood Building, in The Butts, from 11am.
Rosemary added: "I am looking for people to dig deep - the more money I raise the more hair I have cut off.
"Everyone is welcome to come along and donate money on the day, or through my fundraising website."
