FIREFIGHTERS from Droitwich and Worcester were called to a boiler fire in Cockshute Hill.
Just after 9am on Monday, November 30, the two crews extinguished the blaze and installed two smoke detectors in the Droitwich property.
Luckily, there was no one in the building at the time of the incident, which caused smoke and fire damage.
A spokesperson from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said this type of fire occurs more frequently during winter when residents begin using their boilers again.
He advised members of the public to have their boilers serviced and to ensure they had working smoke detectors fitted in their homes.
