A SCHOOLBOY has raised more than £1,400 for his school by taking part in a mud run.
Benjamin Newall, aged 8, completed the junior mud run at Eastnor Castle alongside his mum and dad.
Benjamin, who is autistic, was inspired to take part in the 5k muddy obstacle course after watching his dad Ian compete in last year's adult version.
Thanks to his efforts, he raised a huge £1,477 for Fort Royal Community Primary School.
The school in Wyld's Lane caters for 180 children with learning or physical difficulties.
Margaret Jones, grant administrator for the school, said: "Everyone who supported him is delighted with the result and really proud of the effort he's made.
"The Friends of Fort Royal will use the money to purchase new equipment to help the children in outdoor learning and play."
