UPTON in Bloom has celebrated a funding boost.
The group has received a donation of £750 from building materials firm Cemex UK.
The money will be used to purchase new barrels for flowers along the river front.
Jackie Surtees, chairman of Upton in Bloom, said: "Upton in Bloom's 26 flower barrels on the river front extend from opposite The Plough Inn to the Old Bridge Abutment.
"The road from the Old Bridge Abutment to The Swan Hotel was designated as no parking earlier this year and we plan to add to the barrels to enhance the road.
"Cemex have generously donated £750 towards the cost of the new barrels and Ian Southcott presented the cheque to us.
"The Upton in Bloom Committee and volunteers would like to thank Cemex for the generous donation."
She added that Upton in Bloom has been awarded gold every year since 2003 for its entries in the RHS Heart of England in Bloom.
It has also won the large village category every year bar one while the town has been nominated for the RHS Britain in Bloom 2016, one of only four entries from the Heart of England.
