READERS from Bowbrook House school reviewed a series of books in a speed-dating style.
32 pupils from the school judged the books by their covers and their blurbs as part of the Worcestershire Teen Book Awards.
The awards encourage pupils to read books for fun, enjoyment, pleasure and escapism.
The students voluntarily gave up their free time to review the books and their choices will be used alongside those from other chosen county participants.
Carole Wiles, BEC, Libraries and Learning, at Worcestershire County Council complimented the pupils on their behaviour and enthusiasm for the texts they were judging.
The winner of the award will be announced at the 2016 Award Ceremony in March 2016.
