SHOCKING CCTV footage has been released which shows the moment a homeless man is stamped on during an unprovoked attack.

The upsetting video clip has been released by West Mercia Police to find the man who launched the unprovoked attack on a rough sleeper in The Trinity, Worcester, at 3.15am.

Two men can be seen leaving Bushwackers talking when one, seemingly without provocation, takes a run up, jumps in the air and stamps on the man sitting outside O'Neill's.

He then swaggers off while his friend looks like he is speaking to the man.

Officers called the attack "despicable" and it has also been condemned by homeless campaigners.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain serious injuries but was left shaken from the incident.

The assault happened on Friday, November 6 but police have only just released the details and footage of the attack.

PC Catherine Broadfield said: "This was an unprovoked and violent attack against a vulnerable man.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who may recognise the men in the images. Please contact police.

"This was a despicable act and behaviour like this will not be tolerated."

Police would like to speak to the men in the images to assist with their enquiries.

If you recognise either of the men or have any information about the assault, please call police on 101, quoting incident 529S of 6 November 2015.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via their website.
