STAFF at a medical practice in Worcester are celebrating after scooping a top national award.
Severn Valley Medical Practice, based at both Henwick Holt and Lyppard Grange Medical Centres, won Clinical Team of the Year for patients with long term conditions at the General Practice Awards.
The award highlighted the practice's work in providing an on-site pharmacist to help patients with prescription queries, such as medication reviews.
Dr Nicholas Fairbrother, GP at Severn Valley, said: "We're delighted to receive this award. It's fantastic that our team has been recognised for all the hard they put in to offering the best care possible to our patients.
"By having a pharmacist available within our practice, we're able to enhance the quality of the service provided by improving medicines management, through more comprehensive reviews for those with a long term conditions but also by increasing access to GPs for all other patients."
