A 94-YEAR-OLD Worcester man has issued a heartfelt appeal for help to find a lost necklace belonging to his late wife.
Bill Roberts, of Bilford Avenue, believes he may have dropped the small silver cross and chain in the Pickersleigh Road area of Malvern at the weekend while visiting friends.
He gave the cross to his wife Dorothy on their wedding day in 1948, and is now offering a reward of around £40 for its safe return.
Mr Roberts, who usually wears the cross on a silver chain, said: "I had put it in my pocket because the catch had become a bit damaged and I think I had taken something out of my pocket and taken the cross with it.
"It was my late wife's. It was one of the things I gave her for our wedding. I would like to get it back, I will go to any length."
If you have seen the silver cross and chain, or know of its whereabouts, call Mr Roberts on 01905 453020.
