A PIONEERING business partnership which is set to deliver growth opportunities and access to potential funding for local firms will launch in Worcestershire next month.

The Business Growth Campaign will provide businesses across the county with a variety of opportunities through expert advice, one-to-one coaching and regular business seminars, all aimed at boosting profitability, skills and protecting jobs. The campaign will be launched at a business showcase event to be held on Friday, March 4 at Sixways Stadium, Worcester, from 10am to 2pm.

Led by Worcester businessman Simon Williams of Arrivista Business Coaching and Training in Brindley Road, the campaign is backed by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Worcester MP Robin Walker. Partner businesses, including Lloyds Bank and Worcester Warriors, are also backing the venture and will provide specialist support to those who join the campaign.

Mr Williams said: “Local businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and help our region to thrive. The Business Growth Campaign is here to take that success to another level. It’s a partnership initiative purely for businesses which commits to helping them prosper through unique coaching, support and expert advice. The launch of the campaign has also come at a perfect time with the national Growth Accelerator Fund, which supported small businesses with coaching and match-funding, being wound up last November.

“We want as many businesses as possible to come together at the launch and see the potential themselves. The best businesses are the ones that learn from each other and want to see others succeed just as much as themselves. It’s about creating the conditions for success.”

Robin Walker added: “The Business Growth Campaign is championed by an impressive range of business and community leaders and is an excellent opportunity for other entrepreneurs and employers to realise their ambitions. Scaling up businesses is key to driving the next phase of economic growth and programmes such as this are helping build stronger economy, with more jobs, higher productivity and better pay.”

Among the speakers at the launch event will be Jim O’Toole, chief executive of Worcester Warriors, who will discuss the club’s plans to support local businesses. Mr Williams will also explain how businesses can make the most of strategic alliances and Mr Walker will also give a speech.
