DON'T panic! Odeon Worcester has only been given a 1940s inspired makeover to celebrate the release of Dad's Army.

Bunting, posters as well as staff and re-enactors wearing costumes got cinemagoers into the mood for the film which is based on the popular BBC television series.

The decorations were organised by Worcester-based WWII RAF living history group to mark the release of Dad's Army at the cinema on Foregate Street on on Friday.

Kelly Smith, general manager, said: "It went really well, I think everyone enjoyed themselves as well as Kurt and the rest of the re-enactors.

"The feedback we've had from customers has been positive.

"The decorated the whole of the cinema foyer and outside the screen and spoke to guests as they were coming in.

"I think it really added to the experience."
