CHILDREN at Grimley and Holt CE Primary School dressed up to enjoy learning about National Safer Internet Day 2016.
The day, on Tuesday, February 9, was planned to reinforce important internet safety messages to the children and also to celebrate what the children know and learn about being safe online.
All the pupils at Grimley and Holt CE Primary dressed up as online characters to emphasise how much fun being online can be, providing they remember how to stay safe.
The day started with a presentation led by the School Digital Leaders, a group of children from across the school who meet termly with the e-safety governor and e-safety coordinator to help ensure children are keeping e-safe.
The children excelled themselves through presentations, a rap and a short play and parents were full of their praises as they had put all of this together themselves.
E-Safety coordinator Sally Youngs said: āIām really proud of how our digital leaders rose to this challenge and also how knowledgeable the different classes are on how to keep safe online.ā
As part of the national initiative the children and parents completed a heart with their rules for how to make a kinder and safer internet.
The hearts were posted on to the school's social media site to spread the positive messages of online safety.
