YOUNGSTERS from Stanley Road Primary School have met a poet laureate as part of a creative arts project.
The 12 children and their parents were invited to produce a 100 word poem about a famous female from world war one.
They were supported by Gloucestershire poet laureate Brenda Read Brown.
The event was held as part of the project called Plum Lines, which is being run in partnership with Pershore Women’s Institute and the National Trust at Croome Park.
The completed poems will be part of large scale installation, to be displayed as part of the Peoples Collection at Croome.
The school event took place on Monday, February 1.
