PUPILS from a Worcester school were asked to open a new phone shop for its neighbours at the nearby Tesco store.

The youngsters from Lyppard Grange Primary School cut the ribbon at the front of the Warndon store.

Suzy Roberts said: "They cut the ribbon for us and had a look around the phone shop and had goodie bags to take away.

"I don't think they wanted to go back to school afterwards.

"We were keen to involve the school because it really is right on our doorstep."

The pupils were at the opening on Friday, February 11.
