PUPILS from a Malvern school have become newshounds as part of a project about newspaper articles.
Year 5 students at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School studied newspaper articles and were asked to write their own - for local favourite the Malvern Gazette - outlining the characteristics of their school and the changes recently made to it.
Christopher Wood and Ryan Tsang were among those who took up the challenge and created a series of stories about their school.
The boys wrote about the retirement of their previous head and that Therese Langford had taken on the acting headship.
They also wrote about a revamp at the school and new playground markings along with the creation of a new school council.
Their article read: "Because pupil voice is so important to us, there's a new group of children called the school council who make decisions about what's best for the school.
"They are even trying to convince the governors to allow us to have a school dog called Alfie."
Other news published included their forest school classes, Christmas nativity and the success of their choir.
The boys wrote: "We think that our school is truly magnificent."
