Stretched for time? Here's five key things you need to know about today's Budget:

1. Britain's primary and secondary schools will undergo their biggest change for a generation - and will no longer be controlled by councils.

By 2020 they'll all be ran by academies, or be in the process of converting into academies.

Oh, and at least 25 per cent of them are getting extra cash to stay open past 3.30pm, meaning more after-school clubs, particularly around sport.

2. More tax cuts are on the way - with 31 million people better off.

The personal allowance - what you get to keep before paying income tax - will rise from £11,000 this April to £11,400 in April 2017.

The threshold for higher-rate taxation will also rise from £43,000 in earnings to £45,000, helping so-called 'Middle Britain'.

3. Drive a car? Fuel duty is being frozen for the sixth year in a row.

Beer, cider and whisky duty is also being frozen once again to help ailing pubs.

4. The economy is due to slow down this year - with an extra £3.5 billion of cuts due by 2019/20.

Wonks at the OBR (Office for Budget Responsibility) have downgraded 2015's UK growth from 2.4% to 2.2 per cent, and predict it to fall to 2% this year.

It is predicted to creep up to 2.2 per cent in 2017, and is still forecast to be the best in the Western world despite appearing sluggish.

5. There was a lot for people who run businesses - rate relief is being re-drawn so 600,000 small firms pay nothing at all.

Corporation Tax will be slashed from 20% this year to 17% by 2017.
