AN ABANDONED car was found stuck in the flooded Kempsey ford this morning.
The empty car was found this morning - though Hereford and Worcester Fire and Service said it had not been called out to rescue anyone.
West Mercia Police said they received a call about the stranded car at 8.30pm last night (Tuesday).
They later received a call from the recovery agency at 9.45pm who were unable to recover it.
Officers contacted the Highways Agency who has put additional signs in place.
It is thought that the male driver managed to get himself out of the car and was seen walking up the road.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it had not been called to the ford on Squire's Walk.
Signs warn drivers not to use the ford when it is flooded and there are flood gauge signs at either end of the ford.
During the floods at the start of March, firefighters had to remind people to stay out of flood waters after rescuing nine people in six hours from flooded vehicles.
AA patrol Dave Harford has also warned drivers the ford in Walcot Lane, Pershore was also impassable following recent rain.
Following recent rains, Rivers & fords are still high & fast flowing.
