AN UNUSUAL sight greeted a Worcester man on his way to work early this morning.
At around 6am, Wilson Hunt, of Perdiswell, was waiting in Malvern for a lift to work when he spotted a large otter standing on the pavement nearby.
The 32-year-old saw the creature run across Watkins Way and pause near the traffic lights, before scampering off into a resident's garden.
He said: "I was waiting for my mate to pick me up for work. It was really quiet. I saw what I thought was a cat coming across the grass. It looked rather fat."
Mr Wilson, who lives in the Blanquettes estate, believes it went into a garden with a fish pond to catch food.
He continued: "It knew the area well. It went up my friend's road and into on of his neighbour's gardens.
"I think that they have set up camp somewhere nearby and they are struggling to find food.
I'm a fisherman so I see them all the time down the river. I have seen them before a few times but never before on a kerb on a residential street."
