LESS than average temperatures continue to chill the district with little change on the horizon for the next week according to the Met Office.
Freaky hail showers with sleet on higher ground battered Worcestershire yesterday evening, Tuesday, as the mercury failed to get above 9oC.
According to the weather picture, as we approach May the temperatures should be around 16oC in the Midlands with lows of 7oC yet most people woke to frost and ice today.
There are further risks of hail and thundery showers today with highs of just 9oC and the temperature plummeting to freezing again overnight.
Temperatures are expected to rise a little by the end of the week with a mixture of sunshine and showers though it won't be as warm as expected for the time of year.
