A WORCESTER law firm has raised over £1,000 for Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust, one of the mayor of Worcester’s chosen charities.
Waldrons Solicitors, based at City Wells House, Sidbury offered their time free of charge to write wills for city residents in exchange for a donation to the charity.
After collecting all the donations, which totalled £1,070, Waldrons received an invitation from the mayor to attend the Guildhall and to present a cheque to Greg Rowe, chairman of Daisychain's board of trustees.
Dawn Cash of Waldrons said: “I am extremely proud that Waldrons is able to support Daisychain in this way. It also helps us to raise awareness of the need for everyone to make a will.
"We hope that the next Wills Fortnight will raise even more money to help Daisychain continue with its excellent work in the community.”
Mr Rowe said: “Once again, Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust are delighted to be associated with Waldrons Solicitors and their charity will scheme,.
"This wonderful donation will help us to buy new equipment for the Riverside children’s ward and fund support services provided by our partner charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust in Worcestershire.
