POWERFUL backrow Marco Mama will be playing for Bristol in their Greene King IPA Championship play-off semi-final first leg against Bedford Blues on Sunday (3.15pm).

The flanker signed a two-year deal at Worcester Warriors after impressing during his loan spell with the Aviva Premiership club earlier in the campaign.

But Mama is finishing off the season at his parent club Bristol after making nine Premiership appearances for Worcester, scoring a try in a narrow home defeat against Harlequins January.

He will be joining Warriors on a permanent basis in the summer.

Bristol are hot favourites to overcome Bedford and secure a promotion shoot-out with Yorkshire Carnegie or Doncaster Knights in the final over two legs on May 18 and 25.

Bristol’s Ashton Gate stadium and Yorkshire’s Headingley ground have passed a ground grading inspection for the Premiership.

Doncaster would have play home matches at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat home but Bedford are not eligible for the top tier should they win the Championship crown.
