A PERSON has come forward identifying themselves as the driver of the car which crashed into a former weatherman's home in Hanbury.
West Mercia Police today, Monday, confirmed someone had identified themselves as the driver but said investigations were still ongoing.
Duty inspector Andy Holliday said: "Someone has come forward identifying themselves as the driver but we are still investigating numerous lines of inquiry, including inquiries in relation to the cause of the crash."
A Ford Fiesta crashed into the front of a cottage in Hanbury Road at around 1.40am on Sunday, May 1. The home belongs to retired ITV weatherman John Bannister. The house was rendered unsafe after the crash.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw anyone near the scene around that time is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 with incident number 74s of May 1.
