MEMBERS of Worcester's Black Pear Joggers club ran the Birmingham 10K last weekend.

Around 15 members of the running group travelled to the city on Sunday to take on the challenge alongside thousands of participants from across the region.

Black Pear runner Mark Dillon, 52, from the Astwood Farm Estate, said the atmosphere on the day was "amazing" and will return to run the course again next year.

He said: "The support on the streets is great. People come out and they are stood in the streets holding trays of jelly babies. It is a really good event. I will be back again next year."

The fastest participant from the Black Pear Joggers was Matt Davis, who finished in 39 minutes and 20 seconds, followed by Leo Taggio, at 40 minutes and 49 seconds and Becky Hardy at 43 minutes and 40 seconds.
