THE mother of a four-year-old who died from an aggressive form of cancer clutched a photograph of her daughter as she prepared to skydive in her memory.

Jennifer Kelly decided to take the picture up into the plane with her as her daughter Grace Kelly never had the chance to fly before her death on November 8, 2014.

The touching tribute will now be everlasting as Hinton Skydiving Centre, in Brackley, has placed a photograph of the little girl, from Crowle, permanently inside one of its planes.

Mrs Kelly was one of four brave people to take on the challenge which raised £6,200 for the Grace Kelly Ladybird Fundraising Appeal.

Also taking part in the jump on Sunday's skydive were Victoria Billings, Nicole Jones and Ravinder Hothi.

Mrs Kelly said: "It was pretty scary at the time but was amazing too.

"Grace's picture went with me, and the dive centre have put one of Grace's pictures to stay up permanently in one of their planes that flies all over the world, so she can continue to see the world too.

"Grace always wanted to fly, she was a little girl with her whole life ahead of her.

"It is a lovely thought that Grace's picture can travel the world when she can't."

The appeal raises money for Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group as well as Acorns Children's Hospice and has already reached over £60,000 since it was set up.
