ATHLETICS legend Colin Jackson is urging men to get on their running shoes for a charity 5k run in Worcester.
Following last year’s successful Go Dad Run at Pitchcroft in which more than 200 males took part, the former hurdler is urging people to sign up for this year’s fund-raiser for prostate cancer.
He said: “Two of my uncles have had prostate cancer and 1 unfortunately died so it is a cause that is very close to my heart.
“It is my second time to Worcester and I am very excited to attend as it is always very well supported here. We raised £18,000 last year which was a great effort but we want to raise more this year.
“We will be wearing our traditional blue pants for the event and encourage people to be as colourful as they want to be.”
The Sanlam Go Dad Run takes place on Saturday, June 11 with the 5k race beginning at 10.30am and the 10k race starting at 10.45am.
